Method
- Prepare the dough by mixing flour, salt, sugar, melted butter, and cold water until smooth. Chill for 15 minutes.
- Sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add shredded chicken, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and chili; cook for 5 minutes.
- Roll out dough and cut into circles. Fill each with the chicken mixture and seal the edges.
- Brush empanadas with beaten egg and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

For a crispier crust, brush with egg wash before baking.
