  • 2 pieces chicken breasts cut into bite-size strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 1.5 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 3 cups uncooked fusilli pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets cut small
  • to taste Salt & pepper
  • for serving Freshly grated parmesan cheese optional, to taste

Method
 

  1. Sauté chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, chicken broth, half-and-half, and pasta. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add broccoli, cover, and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Cook a bit longer if broccoli is too crisp. Serve with parmesan cheese.

Notas

Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
