Main ingredients
  • 3 cups cooked chicken
  • 6-8 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • to taste salt as desired
  • about 1 cup milk may be less

Method
 

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in milk until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out dough thinly on a floured surface and cut into 2" squares.
  5. Bring broth to a boil, add dumplings, and cook for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Add cooked chicken to the broth and serve.

Notas

Ensure not to overmix the dough for tender dumplings.
